Age, Education qualification, and Post Qualification Work Experience:
The cut-off date for fulfilling eligibility for age, education qualification, and post-qualification work experience is 01/07/2024.

Selection Procedure:
Depending upon the number of applications the bank will receive, The bank will decide on one of the following modes of selection:
- Shortlisting of applications followed by interview
OR - Written/Online Examination followed by an interview

Probation and Confirmation:
As per the notification, the selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years from the date of joining. Their confirmation will be decided in terms of the provisions of the Indian Banks Officers Service Regulations 1979.

Application Process:
Following is the application process to apply online:
- Candidates to visit the Bank’s website www.indianbank.in click on the careers page and then click on Recruitment of Local Bank Officers – 2024.
- To register applications, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter your Name, contact details, and e-mail ID. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password.
- An e-mail & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
- Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON.
- Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ buttons.
- Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature
- Candidates can proceed to fill in other details of the Application Form.
- Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before Submitting the Application.
- Click on the ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed with online payment.
- The process of Registration is complete only when the fee is deposited with the Bank Online mode on or before the last date for payment of a fee.
