  • Pay Level -1 (₹18,000 to ₹56,900) for the post of Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
  • Pay Level -3 (₹21,700 to ₹69,100) for all other posts.

Age Limit

The crucial date for the age cut-off is fixed as 01/01/2025. The Age limit and other relaxations are as follows:

  • The age of the candidate must be 18-23 Years as of 01/01/2025 (i.e. Candidates born before 02/01/2002 and later than 01/01/2007 are not eligible)
  • The Age relaxation for SC / ST Category Candidates is 5 Years.
  • The Age relaxation for OBC Category Candidates is 3 Years.
  • The Age relaxation for Ex-Servicement Category Candidates is 3 Years after the deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as of the date of cutoff.
  • The Age relaxation for Children and dependents of victims killed in the 1984 riots or communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat (Unreservd / EWS) is 5 Years.

  • The Candidate must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board / University as on or before the cut-off date i.e. 01/01/2025.

The indicative syllabus for the Examination will be as follows:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
  • General Knowledge and General Awareness: Questions in this component will test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect, as any educated person may expect. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries, especially about sports, history, culture, geography, economic scene, general politeness, the Indian Constitution, scientific research, etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
  • Elementary Mathematics: This Section will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and the relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
  • English/ Hindi: Candidates’ ability to understand basic English/ Hindi and their basic comprehension will be tested.
